PARTNERSHIPS - BUSINESSES

Why do businesses partner with AmeriCorps Alums?

AmeriCorps Alums has unique access to a network of over 500,000 incredible individuals who are making change happen in communities and in the public sector. We partner with businesses who can offer a service or resource that benefit our alumni and help them on their path of a lifetime of civic leadership.

AmeriCorps is on a new accelerated path to scale:
Resulting from new legislation passed in US Congress, AmeriCorps alumni will double their ranks at three times the pace of the past 15 years—reaching 1 million members by 2014 and 2 million by 2020.

AmeriCorps alumni are:

Americans generally between ages of 18-35

More racially diverse than the current US population

          2/3 women, 1/3 men

Americans who have served their country through national service (a full time AmeriCorps member serves 1700 hours in one year)

Proven civic leaders who continue to tackle issues in their life after AmeriCorps

Executive leaders of nonprofits, elected officials, educators
and change agents (studies show that 60% of alumni choose
careers in the nonprofit and government (public) sector).
