Below are answers to the most common questions, including accessing your
Segal AmeriCorps Education Award,which AmeriCorps Alums does not oversee. Please read below and if you
still don't have the answer you need, please email info@americorpsalums.org. Thanks for your commitment to

1. I forgot my username and/or
password.
You can request an email to reset your password (which
includes your username). Just go to http://www.americorpsalums.org/general/email_pass.asp. If you
have forgotten the email address you used to sign up or that email address is no
longer valid, please contact info@americorpsalums.org.
2. I would like to order AmeriCorps Alums
Merchandise/Gear. How can I order it?

3. How can I view my Segal AmeriCorps
Education Award balance and/or request tuition payment or loan
repayment?
AmeriCorps Alums does not manage or disburse the Eli Segal Education Award. We have a variety of resources on the subject here: http://www.americorpsalums.org/?education but are
limited to giving you this information only.
To access your Education Award,
redirect to the MY AmeriCorps portal- https://my.americorps.gov/mp/login.do. Through this site, you
will be able to find your balance, reqest payment to your institution, contact
information, FAQ's, and other information you may need about the award.
4. I'm confused about Alum Home Chapter. What
exactly does that mean?
Alum Home Chapter refers to the closest
chapter to which you currently reside. Alum Home Chapters are organized by state. When
registering, all members should choose the city where they currently reside as
their "Alum Home Chapter." This is the chapter you will be most closely
affiliated with. You may still associate your profile with other chapters, but
your main chapter, the one in closest geographic proximity to you, is your "Alum Home Chapter."
5. I need to receive verification of my term
of service. How can I receive official verification of completion of my
AmeriCorps term of service?
Redirect to My AmeriCorps at https://my.americorps.gov/mp/login.do. Once logged in, click
on "my service letter" on the left menu, and simply enter the applicable service
term, address where verification is being sent, and print.
6. How do I connect with my local Chapter?
The Chapter Leaders'
names are listed in the right margin on the homepage of each respective Chapter. Contacting your local Chapter Leader is a good place to begin. To contact your Chapter Leader, simply click on his/her
name, and you will be redirected to his/her profile. You may then contact your
chapter leader via e-mail or phone (if listed). If no chapter leader is listed,
your chapter currently has no chapter leader. If you are interested in becoming
a chapter leader, please contact Greg Heinrich.
7. How is AmeriCorps Alums
funded?
AmeriCorps Alums depends on the investment of national service
