What is Bank of America's Keep the Change® program? Keep the Change® is an innovative program that enables you to save money while making everyday purchases. Patent pending.
How does it work? After enrollment, check card purchases are rounded up to the next whole dollar, with the difference transferred from your Bank of America checking account into your savings account. Bank of America annually matches your savings up to a maximum total match of $250 per year—100% for the first 3 months, and 15% annually thereafter for AmeriCorps Alums members.

What do I have to do to become eligible for the Keep the Change® program?
Open an AmeriCorps Alums personal checking and savings account from Bank of America and sign up for the Keep the Change® program. You pay nothing to join the Bank of America Keep the Change program.
When does the Bank of America/AmeriCorps Alums Keep the Change program start? It will be available beginning October, 2008.
Will I receive an AmeriCorps Alums Bank of America Debit Card? Yes, Bank of America will provide you with a special AmeriCorps Alums debit card with the AmeriCorps Alums logo on the center and your picture on the top left (see the example to the left.) In addition to your own personalized debit card, you will receive a set of checks (standard check rates apply) that bear an AmeriCorps Alums logo/watermark on the center of the checks.

What if I already belong to Bank of America's Keep The Change program? For for standard customers of Keep the Change®, Bank of America only matches its "roll-up amount" at 5% after months 1,2, and 3 . But through AmeriCorps Alums, that match is increased to 15%.
