Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act

The Edward M. Knnedy Serve America Act will go into affect beginning October 1, 2009, ushering in a new era of national and community service. This act authorizes the creation of a Disaster Relief Corps, and paves the way for the eventual expansion of AmeriCorps to 250,000 members.
