The Bertha Brock Haunted Hayride is an annual event where local organizations dress up and create spooky scenes in the campground area of Bertha Brock.  AmeriCorps Members have assisted at this event for several years and have witnessed the decline of volunteers and the increase in participants!  Over 1,000 people usually enjoy this family event.  The hayride starts at 7pm and runs until about 11pm or until participation declines.  Kids Club Members will be doing something new this year and can use all the help they can get.  They will be selling food such as hot dogs, sloppy joe’s, hot cocoa and doughnuts to the people waiting in the line.  Volunteers are also needed to help people park, move through the line, load and unload the wagon, and ride on the wagon to help with safety.  Anyone who is interested can also set up a scary scene out in the woods to entertain the wagon riders.
