MCCD and LISC are looking for energetic volunteers to help with the 20/20 Community Development Expo event that will take place at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis on November 19th and 20th. The 20/20 CD Expo will bring together community development practitioners, partners, and policymakers to celebrate our collective work in the Twin Cities and look ahead to community development’s role in promoting neighborhood revitalization and regional vitality. We are looking for 10 volunteers for November 19th and 50 for November 20th. This is a great opportunity for students, recent graduates and others interested in affordable housing and community development!

Volunteers are needed for 3-4 hour shifts during the following times:

Wednesday, November 19th – between 4:00 and 9:00 pm

Thursday, November 20th – between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm

Duties of the volunteers include:

1) Volunteers will be responsible for 3-4 hour shifts.

2) Assist with directing people where they need to go

3) Provide information to early arrivals

4) Assist with the set up and take down of the event

5) Attend sessions, document what happens during the sessions (take notes) and assist with distribution of materials.

6) Runners or message takers between the two floors of the event

What do volunteers get:

1) Free entry to the event; Volunteer for 3-4 hours and attend the event for free

2) Lunch meal and continental breakfast. For people volunteering on Wednesday evening, there will be heavy appetizers.

3) Networking opportunities with community development experts
