Sponsored by the Clinton School of Public Service, and the Bush School of Government and Public Service, the Des Moines Chapter of AmeriCorps Alums will host a continuing education series event focused on careers in government and public service. The opportunity is open to all AmeriCorps Alums and current AmeriCorps members, and will feature the Bush School of Government and Public Service, as well as the Clinton School of Public Service.  Alex Thomas (Clinton School) and Kathryn Meyer (Bush School) will be on hand discuss how current trends in government and public service professions, as well as how their institutions are shaping the next generation of government and public servant leaders.  Both schools offer significant incentives for AmeriCorps alumni enrolled in their programs.

The event will include free food and beverages for all those in attendance, and will be a great professional development opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in government and/or public service careers.  Additionally, if you are researching options on how to use your Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, you will hear from two institutions that offer financial incentives that allow enrolled AmeriCorps Alums to leverage their Ed Awards.  Finally, it will be an opportunity to network with fellow alumni and current AmeriCorps members.  We hope to see you there.
