National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer event for public lands. Last year, more than 170,000 volunteers participated at over 2,000 sites ranging from community gardens to our state and national parks. In the Billings area alone, we had hundreds of volunteers at several NPLD events throughout the region.

During the event, volunteers are needed to complete a variety of projects, including: tree planting, trail maintenance and development, installing main gate signs, removing Russian olive trees and creating picnic areas throughout the property. Volunteers will receive lunch and a commemorative 2014 National Public Lands Day t-shirt. All ages and abilities welcome; please bring a pair of work gloves and see you in the parking lot at the MCC registration tent on Saturday, the 20th.

Lunch will be provided.
