Voices for National Service Capitol Hill Day is a powerful way to make your voice heard and show Congress the role national service is playing in your community. Your stories of service make tangible to members of Congress the impact and cost-effectiveness of national service to address unmet community needs. Through visits with congressional leaders, you will have the opportunity to educate decision-makers about the work you are doing in your community and establish relationships that will be mutually beneficial over time. Click here for more details and to RSVP.

To facilitate maximum participation, Capitol Hill Day takes place the same week as the AmeriCorps State and National Symposium in Washington, DC. Join Voices for National Service  on September 15th to meet with elected officials and make sure your voice is heard. Congressional visits will be scheduled on Tuesday, September 15 between 9AM and 12PM. The host organization regrets the conflict with Rosh Hashanah on September 15th. This is a conflict they were unable to avoid given the dates of the AmeriCorps State and National Symposium. They apologize sincerely for any inconvenience, and encourage those who observe the holiday to participate in Capitol Hill Day activities on September 17th.
