Dear Andy and the AmeriCorps Volunteer Team,

Thank you for registering to volunteer at Bridging-Bloomington on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Additional information and directions are attached to this email and available on our website - Please note; you are welcome to donate furniture and household good any time we are open. Feel free to bring a bag or carload of items on the day of your project.

Bridging provides the economically disadvantaged with quality furniture and household items, free of charge, by effectively utilizing community resources. You can help make a world of difference by helping someone establish a new home and a better life. Each year Bridging benefits nearly 20,000 individuals who are given a sense of dignity and stability as they rebuild their lives.

Volunteer Group Confirmation

It is our goal that you and your group have a meaningful and successful volunteer experience with us. We have the following information confirmed. If any of this information is incorrect, or changes before the event date, please call me at 952-888-0746 to update. If the circumstances arise in which your group needs to cancel, please notify me as soon as possible.

You should dress comfortably (especially shoes, close-toed) and in clothing that can get dusty/dirty.

Directions to the Bloomington location are attached and available on our website;

Parking is available in the lot and on the street (87th).

Date: Saturday, November 21

Time: 9:00am - 12:00 pm , beginning with a brief program tour for new volunteers

Group Size: 5-10 volunteers

Projects: General warehouse assistance; receiving donations, stocking shelves, loading client deliveries, assembling donated furniture and sorting through small housewares/bed linens. Specific projects to be determined a day or two in advance and based on final group size. Note: This is physical work in a warehouse setting.
