On Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service, Congressman John Lewis announced his intention to introduce legislation eliminating federal taxation on the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.  The legislation would have an estimated annual tax savings impact of between $18M - $29M.  View the clip here.
