Alum Walks Across Country to Help Fight MS

A wise man once said, ‘you can tell an awful lot about a person by their shoes.’ Joe Casamassima knows who that was. "Yeah Forrest Gump, that whole thing. I mean, yeah, people have drawn a lot of parallels between him and me. I guess he was just running for the sake of running, I'm walking, but I have a purpose or a reason," Casamassima says, "My mom was diagnosed with MS about 10 years ago, and I've always tried to help her and support her no matter what she needs."
He's walking across the united states in his mother's honor -- to raise awareness, and maybe money, for multiple sclerosis research. Joe takes a three hour break in the middle of the day for relief from the heat and to plan his route. “Every day I can ...
