JOIN OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO THE AMERICORPS ALUMS FOUNDERS CLUB!
What is the Founders Club? The AmeriCorps Alums Founders Club is an opportunity for those who were instrumental in the founding of AmeriCorps to connect together again and invest in the nearly one million people who have served with AmeriCorps.
Who Counts as a “Founder”? Did you help in some way, small or large, to build the foundation that enabled nearly one million individuals to serve with AmeriCorps? For example, did you help to write the AmeriCorps pledge? Or help to pass the legislation that became H.R. 2010? Did you work in the White House or at CNCS? Did you found an AmeriCorps program, or fight to save one? Was your company an early investor in AmeriCorps? Then you’re a Founder. Click here to see our 2014-2015 Founders Club members and recognition page.
Why be a Part of the Founders Club? As a member, your annual investment helps to ensure all AmeriCorps members and alumni are connected to the people, ideas, and resources that support their commitment to a lifetime of service. Club members are also crucial advisors to the Alums leadership team and are among the first to get breaking Ameri-news and updates.
Where will my donation go? Your donation supports two critical areas:
- Advocacy: Congress has threated to cut AmeriCorps positions by more than a half. Help protect the future of AmeriCorps – and alumni for generations to come – by making sure decision makers hear the alumni voice through national and local advocacy efforts. Your donation supports briefing calls and advocacy materials for our national network.
- Professional Development: Your donation will support our professional development portfolio, including our online Career Center, virtual career fairs, career newsletter and more. For example, a gift of $500 provides one AmeriCorps team of 12 members a life after AmeriCorps webinar on topics such as “Top Jobs for New Alums.”
