AmeriCorps Alums Book Club

AmeriCorps Alums is launching its Book Club series to encourage community dialogue among alums across the country. The Book Club is an avenue to explore issues and topics important to AmeriCorps alums. Books will range in theme from career building to social entrepreneurship to travel to volunteerism. The options are endless.

The essay provides tools for thinking about your work as well as a starting point for creating local conversations about what it takes to make hope real.

 

Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, was diagnosed with terminal cancer as a young father of three. When asked to give his 'last lecture' he did not speak of dying, but instead of living. This book will make up his lasting legacy.
