ServeNext.org is dedicated to expanding National Service by building a grassroots network of citizen-advocates across the country that, together, will ensure that every American who wants the opportunity to serve their country through AmeriCorps or Peace Corps can serve. Through the 2008 Presidential Primary season, ServeNext.org has helped secure the support of more than half of the candidate field including Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR), Senator John McCain (R-AZ), and Senator Barack Obama (D-IL).
As the primaries come to a close, ServeNext is moving forward by launching the NATIONAL SERVICE EXPRESS TOUR '08, which will build the same support at a local level by gathering fellow AmeriCorps Alumni, Peace Corps Alumni, and other National Service supporters to focus on key congressional races across the country. For 60 days, ServeNext will live on a Greyhound bus and travel to 30 cities, meeting with and educating constituents to build local energy and be effective advocates for National Service in their communities.
