MLK365 2nd Annual Beer Summit
Friday, July 16, 5 - 7 PM
Mace's Crossing, 1714 Cherry Street, Philadelphia

Last July, in the aftermath of the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates on the front porch of his own home by Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley, President Obama invited the two to the White House for a meeting over beer to discuss the incident. At the same time in Philadelphia, Global Citizen and MLK365 organized a Beer Summit at Mace's Crossing in Center City for concerned citizens to meet, mingle, and discuss race relations in our city and throughout America.
Please join us for our 2nd annual Beer Summit, this Friday, July 16, 5 - 7 pm at Mace's Crossing, 1714 Cherry Street (at Ben Franklin Parkway), to continue our discussion about race, class and power and how we all can overcome the barriers that threaten to divide us. Also, learn more about MLK365 and ongoing opportunities to address these issues through discussion and citizen action.

Mace's Crossing will provide Happy Hour specials and complimentary food. All attendees over 21 are welcome. Please RSVP to  Victoria Ford at

For further information about Global Citizen, please visit our web site at or call (215) 665-2595.

We hope to see you this Friday, July 16 at 5 PM!
