The AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) team located in Wichita Falls is partnering with the nonprofit Streams & Valleys for a Day of Service on Sunday, February 20, to help clean up trails.

The NCCC team will be working with local volunteers from Midwestern State University, as well as other community members, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday. They will be performing trail maintenance on the Wee-Chi-Tah trail, a path that was named "Best Urban Off-Road Trail in Texas" by the Subaru Trail Doctors.

Streams & Valleys is a local non profit organization whose mission is to build a sense of adventure. Another of their projects is building a river corridor linking current day Wichita Falls and its original site, as well as a campaign to put the falls back in Wichita Falls. They are partnering with the City of Wichita Falls to accomplish the construction of the waterfall on the Wichita River.
