Join DC AmeriCorps Alums in celebrating the fall season at Brent Elementary School's "Fall Festival" on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 11:00am-5:00pm!  As part of the Greater DC Cares Adopt-A-School initiative, the DC chapter has established an ongoing partnership with Brent ES to support the school community.  The Fall Festival is the first activity scheduled with the school, so this is a great opportunity to meet the students, faculty, families, and community partners at Brent ES.  The Festival will include food, music, arts and crafts, games, and other activities.  Please note that there is a cost of $10/adult, $5/youth, and $30/family.    
DC AmeriCorps Alums are invited to attend the Fall Festival or help support the event by volunteering on a work day to prep on Saturday, October 20th or volunteer the day of the event.  The chapter will have a table at the event.  Alums have also been asked to contribute books for a book sale and baked goods for a bake sale.  Additional details regarding volunteer and support opportunities will be emailed shortly.
