The Metro Detroit Chapter of AmeriCorps Alums is pleased to support PBJ Outreach, a community-based effort to feed and clothe the homeless in Detroit.
Every Saturday morning for the past 5 years, Peanut Butter and Jelly Outreach has fed 250 to 350 homeless people.  Twice per month, clothing is distributed to approximately 140 men and 80 women who are without homes.
AmeriCorps Alums members are supporting this effort by volunteering with the clothing distribution team on Saturday, October 27th
If you've been looking for a way to participate in Make a Difference Day,
this is your opportunity!
We'll meet at Cass Cafe (map link above), for a quick cup of coffee and a few words about the project, then move on to the clothing distribution site at 3rd Avenue and Martin Luther King.
When the service project is complete, we'll head back to Cass Cafe for a brief AmeriCorps Alums Chapter meeting.  Our agenda will include planning the service and professional development activities for the chapter in December and January.
