AmeriCorps Day of Service Kick Off:9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m

New Hampshire Institute of Art auditorium, 148 Concord Street, Manchester, NH (free parking at UNH Manchester large parking lot)

Service Projects: 10:00 am-3:00 PM

Who: Over 170 current AmeriCorps members and Alums

What: AmeriCorps members will gather to celebrate their accomplishments and programs. A light breakfast will be provided for service members. Following the ceremony members will break off to begin work at their service project sites for the day in and around Manchester at about 10 AM.  We have partnered with a multitude of project sites around and within greater Manchester. Work consists of: fence painting, debris removal, brush clearing, spring cleaning, painting, logistical support and the alike. Alums and AmeriCorps members will be taking part in these projects at the following sites: Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, Liberty House Veterans Home, Manchester Community Health Center, Girls Inc., The American Legion, The Special Olympics, and Families in Transition.

Please dress appropriately for physical service work! Ex: layers, cloths you don’t mind getting dirt, paint, etc. on, closed toes shoes/boots.  If you have work gloves, please bring them.  Some projects may provide lunch, but please plan to bring a snack/bagged lunch.  Some projects may be outside.  *Please wear AmeriCorps/AmeriCorps Alums gear to this event if you are able*
