Understanding People MBTI Workshop

Would you like to gain a deeper understanding of why people behave the way they do, and how to better communicate and work with those who sometimes drive you crazy? If so, please join us for an introductory workshop on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

The MBTI is the world's most extensively researched, well-respected, and widely used personality inventory. It is based on a theory of personality type, developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung (1875-1961), which centers on differences in the way people take in information, make decisions, direct their energy, and orient themselves toward life.

Using the MBTI, participants will identify their preferences for four two-dimensional processes, engage in a number of experiential learning activities, and discuss how personality types may impact work and home relationships. At the end of this fun and thought-provoking day, participants should have greater self-understanding, a deeper appreciation of others, insight into group dynamics and conflict resolution, a better understanding of decision making, and improved team performance.

Fee for MSUE employees, AmeriCorps Alums and volunteers: $25
