Join the Atlanta Chapter as we volunteer with Dobbs Elementary School and Historic South-View Cemetery Association to remember and honor Veterans like Captain Thomas Grant and more.  Dobbs Elementary takes up 200 acres of the Lake Wood community and is directly across the street from the Historic South-View Cemetery.  Founded in 1886, this is one of the first burial places that "carried no restriction as to race, creed or religious affiliation, as did many southern cemeteries operating during the same period."  This is also where honorable community leaders rest like Rev. Martin Luther King, Sr.
Volunteers are needed to help clean-up and beautify the Historic South View Cemetery.  Volunteers will:
-Plant flowers and shrubs
-Mulch areas of the property
-Clean storm debris from historical plots
-Plant pots on historical plots
Impact areas: Environment, Veterans, and Children
