On Monday, January 18th, 2010, hundreds of volunteers across the City of St. Louis will unite for a powerful day of service in honor of the life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each  year, MLK Day becomes an increasingly more popular day of volunteerism and service, and this year is expected to be the nation's biggest MLK Day of Service yet.

This year, the AmeriCorps Alums STL Chapter is partnering with the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the Greater Ville Neighborhood Preservation Commission to do clean-up projects all across the 4th Ward in North St. Louis. We will be doing both outdoor and indoor projects. For more information on the overall initiative, please visit:

We would love for AmeriCorps alums to join us in these efforts! Come out and volunteer with one of our projects. Or better yet, sign up to be a Project Leader. We need experienced AmeriCorps Alums to help lead teams of volunteers through their service projects. To sign up to be a Project Leader, please contact Joe Jovanovich at

Please register on this website now! Invite your friends and family!

If you have any questions, please contact Joe Jovanovich, AmeriCorps Alums STL Chapter Leader, at or (314) 210-2553.

Thank you!
