Rhonda Ulmer Announced as the 2008 Eli Segal Award Winner

Rhonda Ulmer has been announced as the 2008 Eli Segal Award winner.  After an extremely competitive process, her work with the Van Bokkelen Family Network garnered her the honors for 2008.  As winner of the award, Rhonda will be provided with a $5,000 cash prize, membership into the Segal Fellows Network (a network of men and women who have been the recipients of awards and fellowships created in Eli's honor at AmeriCorps Alums, the Corporation for National Service, and CityYear, and those who have served as Segal Fellows at Brandeis.), and an all-expense paid trip to the National Conference on Volunteering and Service in Atlanta, GA from June 1-3, 2008.
The 2008 Eli Segal Nominations represented a broad cross-section of service types, ranging from domestic to international service initiatives.  Over 40 nominations were received during the 2008 Eli Segal Award cycle.  To view profiles of our finalists, please click here now.
The 2009 Eli Segal Award process will begin on January 15, 2009, when the nomination process will officially open to all alums who have graduated from AmeriCorps.  Alums must have completed their term of service at least 12 months prior to March 31, 2009.
