BERKELEY, June 21—Michael Hamm, a 2007 liberal arts graduate of Berkeley City College, was one of 27 national and international finalists from 17 states and eight nations selected as a 2007 Undergraduate Transfer Jack Kent Cooke Scholar.   The Cooke scholarships, presented annually by Virginia’s Jack Kent Cooke Foundation are one of the most competitive in the U.S., and worth up to $30,000 a year.  Hamm was one of approximately...
