How to Translate your National Service Experience into Future Leadership Opportunities

As part of National AmeriCorps Week, NTL Institute, in collaboration with AmeriCorps Alums is presenting a Free Webinar focusing on: Leadership & Communication: How to translate your AmeriCorps national service experience in into future leadership opportunities.

In this interactive webinar participants will explore how to identify, articulate and leverage their unique work/volunteer experiences into servant-leadership abilities that make a difference, and are valuable qualities to possess - no matter where they are or what their next steps may be. NTL Institute faculty, Beth Applegate and Ellen Greenberg in collaboration with AmeriCorps Alums will facilitate a lively peer-to-peer discussion about the essential qualities of good leadership and communication that participants will have the opportunity to expand and build upon.

Participants will leave the webinar with the following take-aways: 
  • Increased Self-Awareness: Gain self-knowledge and practice reflection
  • Understanding of the 4 key components of leading with emotional intelligence
  • Exploration of the intent vs. impact communication rule; and 
  • Tip-sheet to help participants make a strong, positive first impression when communicating the value of their work/volunteer experience to community leaders, local businesses, and future employers.
