January 2012 Issue

Happy Western and Lunar New Year! We hope you’ve started 2012 off well; ready for a year full of success and celebration for service. For the National Team, we have lots of exciting plans and goals for AmeriCorps Alums and we cannot wait to unveil them as the year rolls through.

As for the past year, 2011 was huge for AmeriCorps Alums, both as an organization and as a national network. We saw growth in our chapters, our own team, and in individual membership. We renewed our emphasis on advocacy for National Service and became influencing storytellers, articulating the power of our service experience.

Here are some of our top accomplishments of 2011:

Our accomplishments as an organization would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our network, aka Alums like YOU, to see that AmeriCorps Alums continue to be leaders in our country.

We hope that you’ll continue to serve with us in this new year!

In Service,

The AmeriCorps Alums Team
